MANHATTAN — The halls of Manhattan's illustrious LaGuardia High School, the setting of movie classic Fame, are buzzing with rumors that Madonna's 13-year-old daughter will attend the school next year, the Daily News reported.

In the March 31 issue of Us Weekly, the pop star told the magazine that daughter Lourdes Leon had been admitted to a "performing-arts high school" where she would major in drama, leading students to speculate that the school is LaGuardia, the Daily News said.

"I've asked [school officials]," Luther Cherry, 16, a member of the performing arts high school's student government, told the News. "[They] said 'We don't know until students show up.'"

If Lourdes does matriculate at LaGuardia in the fall, she will be in good company. Actors Jennifer Aniston, Al Pacino and Adrien Brody are among the school's many famous alumni, according to its Web site.

While one current student complained to the News that Lourdes had been given a private audition for the highly selective acting program, instead of having to endure a nerve-racking public performance, Lourdes' appearance in one of her famous mom's videos shows that she's got moves.

The 13-year old had a brief but impressive break dancing cameo around 3 minutes and 16 seconds into Madonna's "Celebration" video.
