MANHATTAN — Ashley Dupré, the infamous former prostitute in the Elliot Spitzer sex scandal, will bare all in an upcoming issue of Playboy magazine, according to the publication's Web site.

The May issue, to be released on April 16, will include an interview, 8-page photo-spread and cover picture of the former call girl, who helped bring down New York's governor in 2008, the New York Daily News reported.

"Some people call me the girl who brought down the governor of New York, but in reality he brought me down," Dupré told Playboy, according to the News. "I was an escort. As much as I wish I could make that go away, I can't."

Some of Dupré's hair reportedly caught fire during a portion of the photo shoot that included some candles, but was quickly put out by a nearby stylist, according to NYMag.com.

Dupré, who used to reside in Chelsea, said she enjoyed doing the photo shoot despite the reported mishap.

"I had a lot of fun doing these pictures," Dupré said. "You're naked and you're in front of a bunch of guys — good-looking guys, too, manly men."

Since the Spitzer scandal broke, Dupré has parlayed her relationship with the former governor into a career as a pop singer and sex advice columnist for the New York Post.

The news of Dupré's Playboy interview comes amid speculation that Spitzer will run again for public office.
