EAST HARLEM — After a month of anxious waiting and rallies by friends, police have identified a person of interest in the murder of a Columbia-Presbyterian medical assistant.

Investigators released a photo of the man they wish to talk to about the fatal stabbing of Adan Gonzalez, 28, on Feb. 6 near the Orbit Bar, where he'd been drinking with friends.

The person of interest is described as a Black or Hispanic male, six feet tall and weighing 220 pounds.

Since his death, East Harlem friends have mounted a campaign to find his killer and have been working with the NYPD to search for a clue.

Posters with Gonzalez' photo have been plastered around the neighborhood. An NYPD community liaison officer also turned at a rally at the Orbit Bar held days after his death.
