MANHATTAN FEDERAL COURT — The jury in John "Junior" Gotti's fourth federal trial in five years announced it was deadlocked once again on Tuesday.

The jurors will return Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, to review testimony and possibly try again to reach a verdict.

Gotti, 45, is accused of several murders dating back to the 1980s. He's also accused of plotting the kidnapping and murder of Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa.

The judge read the panel an Allen charge, which stresses the importance of reaching a verdict, the Associated Press reports.

"If your deliberations do not end in a verdict, in all likelihood it would have to be tried again before another jury," Judge Kevin Castel said.

Gotti's lawyers immediately asked the judge for a mistrial, but they were denied.

Gotti's three previous trials have ended in a hung jury. Four jurors have been dismissed during the course of the latest trial.
