MANHATTAN − The Afghan immigrant accused of plotting a bombing in New York had contact with a senior al-Qaida operative, intelligence officials told the Associated Press. A Monday morning melee on a busy Harlem street ended with three teenagers wounded, according to the Daily News. One victim, a 17-year-old boy, was shot in the buttocks, while two others were stabbed.
