A 55-year-old woman died early Friday morning when the car she was riding in hit an SUV at an East Village intersection, police said.

Jacqueline Franklin, of South Ozone Park, was traveling in the passenger side of 1998 Nissan Quest about 6:30 a.m. when the car collided with 2001 Ford van on First Avenue at E. 4th Street, police said.

The driver of Franklin's car — a 52-year-old man who police did not identify — and the 19-year-old driver of the van were both taken to Beth Israel hospital with neck and back injuries.

Franklin was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital.

The investigation into the accident was ongoing, police said.
