Wrigley rooftops

There are now just three Wrigleyville rooftop businesses not owned by the Ricketts family.

Federal prosecutors announced the charges Friday morning.

The Cubs' expanded plan to add more signs and bleachers cleared the Commission on Chicago Landmarks.

Without taking sides, Mayor Rahm Emanuel nudged the Cubs to move on the Wrigley Field renovation.

"I wish both parties would get together and resolve the issue," said Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Ald. Tom Tunney said the community had already made enough concessions on Wrigley Field signs.

Talks between the team and rooftop owners have stalled recently.

"The Cubs need to start the work as soon as possible," said Ald. Tom Tunney.

A rooftops spokesman called the Cubs' assertion "completely false."

Owner said he'd consider moving the team if they can't place a TV screen in the outfield.

The team released images of how key parts of a $500 million overhaul of the ballpark area would look.

But Beth Murphy said first choice is unobstructed views, seat at the table as Wrigley plan finalized.

Pushing back the left field exterior wall could make sightlines better for rooftop patrons.
