Is the Obama library the next target of the parks watchdog group's efforts?

Friends of Parks says Star Wars creator should have picked site away from lakefront.

San Francisco, Los Angeles said to be in talks for filmmaker's project.

Lucas has discussed plans with San Francisco mayor Ed Lee, the  San Francisco Chronicle  reported.

George Lucas' wife threatens to move the Lucas Museum far, far away after the group "hijacked" the plan.

Friends of the Parks' Juanita Irizarry took issue with "the city's basic lack of transparency."

"We hope the mayor reconsiders and does the right thing," said Friends of the Parks' Tom Geoghegan.

Attorney Tom Geoghegan said the key to the case is the benefit to be gained by George Lucas.

The Plan Commission approved placing the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art on the lakefront.

Cassandra Francis said, however, she will remain close to the cause of protecting Chicago parks. 

The advocacy group isn't backing down from its lawsuit over the proposed Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. 

Friends of the Parks announced it has filed suit to block the Lucas Museum from the lakefront.

Attorney Tom Geoghegan  said the group will file the suit Thursday before a news conference at City Hall.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel said he's mainly glad the Lucas Museum will be here and not in San Francisco.

Hoping to argue against the museum, opponents found little opportunity to do so.
