No one was hospitalized after the rescue, officials said.

The 12th annual event, which takes place Friday at De La Salle Institute, has raised more than $500,000.

Neighbors were still without power Monday afternoon following an early-morning blaze in Irving Park.

Owner Mike Al-Matarneh said the burger and wings restaurant will rebuild and open in April.

The cause of the Portage Park blaze fought by 125 firefighters is still unknown, officials said Monday.

Police are investigating if the blaze, which injured seven, was deliberately set.

A firefighter also suffered a minor injury in the apartment building blaze at 5820 N. Sheridan Road.

The Chicago Fire Department said 12 of the 16 deaths could have been prevented by smoke alarms.

Prosecutors said Daniel Shafranski, 44, lied to police after they stopped his car in Jefferson Park.
