John Barleycorn River North's seasonal beer dinner features Samuel Adams brews on Thursday, Jan. 31. Guests will enjoy a five-course meal prepared by John Barleycorn’s executive chef Gabriel Castaneda and six Samuel Adams pairings. Course highlights include filet mignon medallions, almond-crusted halibut and seared ahi tuna. Featured beers include New World Tripel and Thirteenth Hour from the brewery’s Barrel Room Collection and Whitewater IPA from the Brewmaster’s Collection. Anna Buchok of The Boston Beer Co. will discuss the beer selections and featured pairings during the event. Tickets must be purchased in advance at John Barleycorn's website, and cost $65 before Jan. 21 and $75 afterward. All attendees receive a souvenir Samuel Adams glass and a coupon valid for a $10 discount on John Barleycorn’s spring beer dinner.
