State Rep. Ann Williams (D-Chicago), Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer and Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th) will host a Town Hall to lay out plans for pension reform at the state, county and city levels. The free public forum is scheduled for Jan. 10 at St. Benedict Prep High School, 6:30 p.m.
As pension obligations eat up an increasing percent of government budgets, legislators and officials are weighing reform options that will benefit all stakeholders — taxpayers, employees and retirees.
