The Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport Ave., debuts its rendition of comedy musical "Avenue Q," a Tony-award winning show with puppets about making it in the big city.

The show looks at adult issues — dating, sex, pornography — but is partially performed by actors holding puppets, giving it an adult "Sesame Street" feel.

"Avenue Q" runs from April 23 to June 29. Shows are on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Tickets cost between $20 and $60 and may be purchased online.
