LOGAN SQUARE — The neighborhood's annual Halloween parade will start this year at Palmer Square Park — not the Logan Square Monument.

Organizers said the parade, set for Oct. 29, has outgrown its humble beginnings.

"We've grown over the years and have had change the starting point of our Parade for safety reasons," the Facebook event page reads.

Costumed neighbors should meet at 5 p.m. at the western end of the park at Palmer Boulevard and Kedzie Avenue.

As in previous years, the parade will end around 7 p.m. at Lula Cafe, 2537 N. Kedzie Ave., where fresh cookies and warm apple cider will be served.

Members of the marching band Mucca Pazza will serenade the group as it makes its way to Lula Cafe.

Folks are encouraged to bring their own instruments and noise makers from home.
