Shootings In Logan Square, West Humboldt Park Leave 2 Men Wounded

CHICAGO — Shootings in Logan Square and West Humboldt Park have wounded two people since Monday, police said.

• At 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, a 30-year-old man was shot in Logan Square, police said. The man was in the 1800 block of North Whipple Street when he got into a fight with a gang member and the other person took out a gun and fired shots.

The man was hit in his ear and he was taken to Norwegian American Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 1:06 p.m. Monday, a 24-year-old man was shot in West Humboldt Park, police said. The man was outside in the 800 block of North Monticello Avenue when someone walked up to him from an alley and fired shots.

The man was hit in his left leg and right knee, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
