CHICAGO — A 51-year-old man was shot to death in Pilsen on Sunday night, police said.
At 8:55 p.m., the man was standing on the corner in the 2000 block of South Leavitt Street when two people in a Chevy shouted gang slogans at the man and then fired shots, police said.
The man was hit in his chest and arms and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
Arthur Sanchez, of the 2100 block of West 18th Place, was pronounced dead at 9:32 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
