CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man died after a shooting in Englewood on Saturday night, police said.
At 11:04 p.m., officers were called to the 6200 block of South Laflin Street and found the man unresponsive and lying on the ground, police said.
The man was shot in his head and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
Brandon Cathey, of the 4100 block of South Prairie Avenue, was pronounced dead at 9:12 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
