CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was shot to death and two other people wounded in North Lawndale on Sunday night, officials said.
At 6:25 p.m., the three were on a porch in the 3000 block of West Polk Street when an SUV drove by and someone inside the car fired shots, police said.
The 19-year-old man was hit in his head, officials said.
Damien Rowden, of the 3000 block of West Jackson, was pronounced dead at 7:01 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
A 17-year-old was hit in his legs and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said. An 18-year-old man was hit in his right thigh and he was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
No one was in custody.
