CHICAGO — Easy Street Pizza & Beer Garden, 3750 N. Central Ave., opened its back patio for outdoor seating Monday, following through on a promise the owners had teased when they opened the Portage Park pub-and-grub last month.
The "beer garden" includes 12 brightly-colored tables with enough collective room for 94 people, nearly doubling the bar's capacity, owner Dan Latino said.
The outdoor area was introduced to "bring a laid back Austin Texas vibe to Portage Park," a neighborhood not known for restaurants with patios, Latino said.
The bar, which pours craft beer alongside a full-service kitchen serving pizza and sandwiches, opened at the former site of K&H Lounge on June 1.
