CHICAGO — A 56-year-old man was gunned down in Chatham early Tuesday, police said.
At 1:26 a.m., the man was in the 8400 block of South Maryland Avenue when someone got out of a red Camaro and fired a shot, police said.
The man was hit in his chest and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Marcelle Rey, of the 2100 block of North Spaulding Avenue, was pronounced dead at 2:24 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
