CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy was killed while walking through a vacant lot in West Garfield Park Friday evening, police said.
The incident occurred at 6:03 p.m. in the 4500 block of West Jackson Boulevard. The boy was shot in his chest before being taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died.
He was identified as Cercy Robinson, of the 4300 block of West Wilcox Street, by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
