4th Of July Celebration Continues At Free Concert July 5 In South Shore

SOUTH SHORE — In South Shore, the Fourth of July keeps going on July 5 with an encore performance of the “Independence Day Salute.”

The Grant Park Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever, the Armed Forces Salute and other songs at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday at the South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. South Shore Drive.

Christopher Bell will conduct the performance of the same repertoire from the orchestra’s July 4 performance at Millennium Park.

The event is free and open to the public.
