LINCOLN SQUARE — Have a fun summer, but also have a safe summer.
That's the message behind Swedish Covenant Hospital's inaugural Summer Social fest, set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, 5115 N. Francisco Ave.
The hospital will hand out 1,000 free bike helmets during the family friendly event, with Chicago Bicycling Ambassadors on hand to help with fittings.
There will also be plenty of food and entertainment, including bounce houses and a performance from the Jesse White Tumblers at noon.
Bike parking is available on site and a Divvy station is nearby. For those driving to the event, the hospital is offering free garage parking at 5140 N. California Ave.
