Lincoln Square's Thursday Night Concert Series Hits All The Right Notes

LINCOLN SQUARE — Lincoln Square's Thursday night summer concert series in Giddings Plaza is underway with an entertainment lineup that covers every genre from latin dance to bluegrass.

Weather permitting, the free concerts will be held 6:30-9 p.m. in the plaza, 4733 N. Lincoln Ave.

Food and drinks will be sold, or swing by the neighborhood Thursday night farmers market first to grab some grub.

The concert schedule:

• Thursday — Flat Cats (blues, timeless standards)

• June 15 — Radio Free Honduras (classics and originals, led by Honduran music legend Charlie Baran)

• June 22 — Coyote Riot (folk and country/bluegrass string sounds)

• June 29 — The Friends Band (variety of genres)

• July 6 — Bopology (swing, big band, jump, blues, jazz)

• July 13 — Los Perros Cubanos (latin dance, Cubano fusion)

• July 20 — Jonas Friddle (Americana)

• July 27 — Rachel B (soul/pop)

• Aug. 3 — School of Rock (covers performed by kids)

• Aug. 10 — The StingRays ('50s, '60s and '70s rock)

• Aug. 17 — Tijuana Hercules (swampy blues)

• Aug. 24 — Justin Roberts & Laura Doherty (family folk meets power pop)

• Aug. 31 — The North 41 (rock, funk, pop)
