CHICAGO — Downtown Edgebrook will turn into a crowded outdoor marketplace Saturday for Everyday Edgebrook's third annual Destination Devon street festival, the group announced.

With more than 40 separate stations planned to line the sidewalks of Devon and Central Avenues, the fest will feature more food, crafts and entertainment than in years prior, according to Laura Guenther, the founder and director of the neighborhood group.

Anyone who strolls through the district between 1-5 p.m. Saturday will find booths manned by neighborhood standbys like Happy Foods, 6415 N. Central Ave., and by outside businesses like Tea'se Tea Shoppe, 5755 W. Irving Park Road.

The event will include food served by Tamales Express and Magic Circle Crepes, plus a preview appearance by three produce vendors set to join the Edgebrook Farmers Market when it starts on June 17.

Live musical performances will also spring up in various spots around the festival, Guenther said.

Destination Devon will coincide with the North Branch Trail Alliance's Inaugural Ride, which is set to roll through Edgebrook around midday Saturday.
