FireFin Poke Shop Opens In Wicker Park, And There's More Than Just Fish

WICKER PARK — FireFin Poke Shop, a fast growing Chicago-based chain serving salad and rice topped with fresh fish, opened its third location along Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park on Monday.

Located at 1415 N. Milwaukee Ave. in the former Chicago Cupcake, the bright and airy storefront offers 40 seats and counter style ordering.

Pronounced "po-kay," poke is a cold Hawaiian style seafood salad using cut or diced fish as its main ingredient. Poke has grown in popularity due to the fact it is high in protein and low in saturated fat. 

The new Wicker Park outpost also includes hot bowls topped with with fried chicken, beef and salmon, costing $9.95-$13.95.

This spring and summer, FireFin Poke Shop plans to add fourth and fifth outposts in Lakeview and West Loop's Ogilvie Train station, respectively, according to a news release.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Check out the menu:
