CHICAGO — The West Portage Park Neighbors Association will celebrate 15 months of existence with a pizza fundraiser Tuesday charging $15 per entrant, the group announced.

The host of the event, Trattoria Porretta Ristorante, 3656 N. Central Ave., will supply house-made pizza and set up an additional cash bar for the event, which runs from 6-8 p.m.

Attendees will also be able to enter a "small raffle" for prizes donated by local businesses and group members, according to David Feller, the association's president.

Money raised Tuesday will go toward a series of events the group has planned for later this year, including a "recycling event" slated for June and another planned for Veterans Day, Feller said.

Children under 12 will be admitted to the fundraiser for free.

Founded at the beginning of 2016 with the mission of attracting more businesses and commercial development around Central and Austin avenues, the group has already enmeshed itself in multiple debates over new developments.
