West Town Shooting Seriously Wounds Woman, 21, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old woman was shot and seriously wounded in West Town on Tuesday night, police said.

At 10:54 p.m., the woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 2400 block of West Augusta Boulevard when she heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The woman was hit in her left leg and she took herself to St. Mary Hospital, police said. She was transferred to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

No one was in custody.
