CHICAGO — Jefferson Park Forward will test the endurance of the neighborhood's thirstiest barflies with a five-hour, five-stop trek through some the area's most prominent watering holes.

A $25 ticket — or $20, for anyone who buys online — earns each guest a 22-ounce mug sporting the neighborhood group's logo, which can be filled for the price of a standard drink at any of the participating bars.

The schedule for the second annual Jefferson Park Forward Pub Crawl is:

• 2 p.m. at Jefferson Inn, 4874 N. Milwaukee Ave.

• 3 p.m. at Rex Tavern, 4933 N. Milwaukee Ave.

• 4 p.m. The Windsor Tavern and Grill, 4530 N. Milwaukee Ave.

• 5 p.m. at Babe's on Milwaukee, 4416 N. Milwaukee Ave.

• 6 p.m. at Hops & Barley, 4359 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Visitors can show up and buy a ticket along any leg of the tour, according to Ryan Richter, the group's president.

Snacks will be served at The Windsor Tavern and Hops & Barley, Richter said.

Participants will also be invited to buy raffle tickets to benefit Chicago Canine Rescue. The raffle winner will get half the pool of winnings, with the other half going to the charity.

Jefferson Park Forward was founded in 2015, after Richter lost a hotly-contested election for president of the Jefferson Park Neighborhood Association. With a mission of planning social events and beautification projects while staying clear of political hot buttons, the group surged past 100 members earlier this year.

Money raised in the pub crawl will be used to buy gardening tools for a pair of landscaping projects the group is planning for the neighborhood's business district.

The next meeting of Jefferson Park Forward is planned for April 20, at a location yet to be determined.
