MORGAN PARK — Some of those attending the annual fundraiser for the Beverly Arts Center Saturday will have an opportunity to sample craft beer and food pairings from the new Open Outcry Brewing Co.

Owner and brewer John Brand and chef Cesar Lopez will be featured as part of a special reception that starts at 6 p.m. General admission to the fundraiser begins at 7 p.m., and the event concludes at 11 p.m.

Open Outcry will replace O'Brien's Pub at 10934 S. Western Ave. in Morgan Park. The new restaurant and brewery is expected to debut in May. Construction is now underway, transforming the once tiny bar into a 4,000-square-foot brewery featuring a wood-fired oven.

Tickets to the 46th annual fundraiser for the community art center at 2407 W. 111th St. cost $75. The evening includes an open bar, music, dancing, finger foods and both live and silent actions.

Celebrity chef Graham Elliot and his wife, Allie Bowles, will serve as honorary co-chairs of the fundraiser along with Ald. Matt O'Shea (19th).

"Love Shack" is the name of the event, which will feature a 1970s dance party theme. The suggested attire is "kitschy cocktail," according to the event promoters.

Return2Soul will perform Motown and jazz favorites at the event, and chef Alvin Green will also provide some of his signature bites. For more information, call the art center at 773-445-3838 or email bac@beverlyartcenter.org.
