LOGAN SQUARE — The Indian restaurant that took over the former home of Two Lions Pub and Grill on Armitage Avenue is now open.

The Spice Room, 2906 W. Armitage Ave., serves a mix of classic Indian dishes like chicken tikka masala ($16) and samosas ($4) and seafood-infused dishes like shrimp vindaloo ($16).

The restaurant, which offers delivery, prides itself for its modern interpretations on classic dishes and high-quality ingredients, according to its website.

When Two Lions Pub and Grill opened in 2014, it was originally called The Red Lion Pub and Grill. But the owners were forced to change the name because it was too similar to The Red Lion Pub in Lincoln Park, according to Eater.

The stretch of Armitage where The Spice Room has taken root is becoming known for its food offerings with with acclaimed restaurants like Dos, 2829 W. Armitage Ave., Parson's Chicken & Fish, 2952 W. Armitage Ave., and Osteria Langhe, 2824 W. Armitage Ave. locating there.

The Spice Room is open 4-10 p.m. It's closed on Tuesdays.
