Eight West Town, Humboldt Park Home Burglaries Lead To Police Alert

WEST TOWN — Chicago Police are alerting West Town and Humboldt Park residents after eight home and garage burglaries in the neighborhood were reported in a two-week period. 

In the incidents, reported in late February and early March, burglars entered the victim's home or garage, police said. 

The burglaries occurred:

• at 6:05 p.m. February 23 in the 2200 block of West Huron Street 

• between 11 p.m.-3 a.m. Feb. 25-26 in the 1900 block of West Erie Street 

• at about 8 p.m. Feb. 28 in the 2200 block of West Erie Street 

• at 8 a.m. March 2 in the 500 block of North Troy Street

• between 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. March 3 in the 2500 block of West Augusta Boulevard 

• at 11 a.m. March 7 in the 800 block of North Richmond Street 

• between 8:30 p.m.-11 a.m. Feb. 28-March 8 in the 900 block of North Mozart Street 

• between 7 p.m.-11:45 a.m. March 10-11 in the 800 block of North Richmond Street

In one incident, the offender was described as a 20-29-year-old unknown male, about 5-foot-11 tall. In another incident, the offenders were described as three unknown men.
