PORTAGE PARK — The Six Corners Association will host neighbors at Filament Theatre, 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave., for the second-ever gathering of the monthly "Social After Six" program on Saturday.

From 6-10 p.m., the neighborhood group will have more than 500 board games on hand, plus a trove of tacos from the next-door Lomas Verdes, which will be sold for $1 each.

Following up on January's "Wine about Winter" event at Community Tavern, Six Corners Association director Kelli Wefenstette said she hopes the monthly hangouts introduce more people to less widely-known parts of the Six Corners Shopping District.

"We're we're partnering with local businesses to host these events in a way that gets people through their doors for a new, fun, lighthearted experience," Wefenstette said, "and will cultivate a relationship between customer and business that continues after the event is over."

Tickets for the event can be bought online for $5, or $10 at the door.
