WEST LOOP — A Chicago non-profit will "paint the night purple" in an effort to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's Friday night.

The Alzheimer's Association's Greater Illinois Chapter Junior Board will host Paint the Night Purple from 8-11 p.m. Friday at Revel Fulton Market, 1215 W. Fulton Market. More than 900 attendees are expected to attend, according to organizers.

Tickets to the fundraiser, which are now on sale for $100, include an open bar, appetizers, desserts, a silent auction, raffle, live performances from Chicago's The Boy Band Night and more. Tickets will be on sale for $115 at the door.

Raffle and silent auction prizes include a signed Patrick Kane Chicago Blackhawks sweater, a Hilton Hotel stay and tickets to the Joffrey Ballet and Shedd Aquarium.

All proceeds from the event benefit the non-profit Alzheimer's Association, which aims to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter serves 68 counties in Illinois.
