LINCOLN SQUARE — Be prepared for traffic snarls on Foster Avenue as crews work to rebuild a manhole near the intersection with Damen Avenue.

Ald. Pat O'Connor (40th) alerted constituents to the construction, which is expected to last three to four weeks. The affected area of Foster stretches from Damen to Hoyne, next to Amundsen High School and Winnemac Park.

The project is a joint effort between ComEd and the Water Department and includes removal of an old water main, according to O'Connor.

Foster Avenue will be reduced to two lanes during construction, which started Thursday, the alderman said.
