ALBANY PARK — Ixcateco Grill is among newcomers taking part in Chicago Restaurant Week, set for Jan. 27-Feb. 9.

Chef/owner Anselmo Ramirez, who spent 14 years working under Rick Bayless, has earned raves for his southern Mexican cuisine since opening Ixcateco in 2015 at 3402 W. Montrose Ave.

Restaurant Week, with its prix fixe menus, encourages diners to venture out and try something new or revisit an old favorite.

Ixcateco, which is BYOB, will offer a three-course dinner menu for $33 during Restaurant Week, with vegetarian options available upon request.
