Museum of Science And Industry Has 24 Free Days Over The Next Two Months

HYDE PARK — It’s a good time to visit the Museum of Science and Industry with 24 free days for Illinois residents over the next two months.

Tuesday kicks off free days every week through Feb. 28 at the museum, 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive.

Though all of the days are on weekdays, the museum will be free on Jan. 16 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The museum will kick off its Black Creativity program on Jan. 16 with a juried art exhibition of works by African American artists and family print-making workshops that are included free with admission to the museum.

The full schedule of free days for the next two months include Jan. 10-12, 16-19, 24-26, 31; Feb. 1-2, 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, 28.

Proof of Illinois residency is required to get free admission.

Free admission does not include special exhibits like “Brick by Brick” and exhibits that require a timed ticket like tours of the U-505 submarine.
