BEVERLY — Comedian Pat McGann of Beverly is poking a bit of fun at the Chicago Cubs and the local restaurant show "Chicago's Best" with a pair of spoof videos.

McGann debuted the videos while hosting the 2016 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards Saturday night. The awards recognize outstanding achievement in local broadcasting in markets such as Chicago, Rockford, Peoria, Milwaukee and more.

The video taking aim at the Cubs offers testimonials from fans who saw some rather peculiar results stemming from the team's 2016 World Series win. After each segment, the refrain from Steve Goodman's "Go Cubs Go" is played.

McGann's version of "Chicago's Best" features an appearance by host Elliott Bambrough. The comedian focuses on his favorite part of the meal — saltine crackers.

The videos include fellow comedians Jim Flannigan and Kevin Bozeman, who co-host a regular podcast about the Chicago White Sox along with McGann called "The Cycle."

McGann's duties as a Emmy host also included developing a monologue for the awards show at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile. He even took the opportunity to congratulate WGN-TV anchor Larry Potash during the show via Twitter.

"You're not here, but you just won best anchor. Congratulations, I clapped for you," McGann posted from backstage.
