DOWNTOWN — Two bad football teams and a bad weather forecast are adding up to really, really cheap tickets for Sunday's Bears-49ers game at Soldier Field.
Tickets on StubHub are going for as little as $35 Tuesday afternoon, a fraction of what Bears tickets normally cost, even for preseason games. In May, when the tickets officially went on sale, regular-season single-game tickets were priced from $140 to $596, while preseason tickets were priced from $45 to $241.
The Bears are 2-9, losers of three straight, but they are favored to beat San Francisco, which has an even worse 1-10 record. The Bears have scored the second fewest points in the NFC, while the 49ers have tallied the fourth fewest. San Francisco has allowed the most points in the conference this year and is 0-5 on the road.
It's predicted to rain Sunday, with a high of 41 degrees and a low of 32.
Soldier Field's official capacity is 61,500, but only 48,408 showed up to last Sunday's game against Tennessee.
Sunday's game is scheduled for noon.
