Englewood Shooting Wounds Man, 40, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man was shot and wounded in Englewood on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

At 12:12 p.m., the man was in the 5400 block of South May Street when he was shot in his left leg, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, Tannehill said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

No one was in custody.
