WICKER PARK —   In advance of The Robey's opening on Nov. 30, photographer Max Wilson published a time lapse video showcasing skyline views from atop the art deco tower that was converted into a boutique hotel.

The highly anticipated opening will bring two vintage buildings back to life, while offering shops, restaurants, bars and dramatic skyline views from the upper floors of The Robey.

Both hotels are from Grupo Habita, which operates 14 hotels in Mexico as well as New York City's Hotel Americano. Over 100 new part- and full-time jobs were created to staff the hotels.

The Robey is located at 2018 W. North Ave. and The Hollander, a neighboring "shared stay" hostel at 2022 W. North Ave., are significant architectural anchors at Wicker Park and Bucktown's Milwaukee, Damen and North Avenues intersection.
