CHICAGO — Homemade Thanksgiving dinner sure is nice, but sometimes you just want to dig into a hearty meal at a restaurant with your family rather than toiling away in a hot kitchen all day. Check out these Chicago restaurants open for business this Thanksgiving Day on Nov. 24.

312 Chicago, 136 N LaSalle St.

This Downtown Italian restautant offers a special 4-course menu that mixes Italian tradition with the American holiday. Breakfast will also be available from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

$50 per person; $25 for children 12 and under.

Andies Restaurant, 5253 N. Clark St.

The Mediterranean eatery will serve a Grand Buffet, which includes roasted turkey with all the trimmings, salmon, BBQ ribs, lamb and veggie options.

$25.95 per person; $14.95 for children 12 and under; free for kids under four.

Aquitaine, 2221 N. Lincoln Ave.

Add some contemporary French taste to your Turkey Day dinner with Aquitaine's three-course prix-fixe menu, which includes honey-brined oven roasted turkey and pumpkin crème brûlée.

$40 per person.

bistronomic, 840 N. Wabash Ave.

This French restaurant will offer a 3-course prix-fixe meal with an optional artisanal cheese plate available for $15.

$57 per person.

Morton's The Steakhouse, 1050 N. State St.

Want something else other than the standard turkey dinner? Morton's will be serving a steak dinner all day for Thanksgiving.

Nookies Edgewater, 1100 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.

Why wait until dinner when you can have an American Thankgiving breakfast? The Edgewater brunch spot will also offer roasted turkey dinner for later times.

The Rosebud, 1500 W. Taylor St.

Deviating from its usual Italian cuisine, The Rosebud will serve up a traditional thanksgiving dinner with roasted turkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, glazed baby carrots and more.

$29 per person.

Baptiste & Bottle, 101 E. Erie St.

The newest addition to this lineup, Baptiste & Bottle opened just this Monday on the 20th floor of the luxurious Conrad Hotel. Its Thanksgiving feast includes a prix-fixe menu with autumn salad, pumpkin soup, roasted apple pie and more.

$110 per person. Reservation required.

Lockwood Restaurant & Bar, Palmer House, 17 E. Monroe St.

Feast in the Empire Room at the Palmer House Hilton with Lockwood Restaurant & Bar's traditional Thanksgiving buffet. The meal includes a four-hour complimentary self-parking space at 55 E. Monroe Parking Garage from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

$78 per person; $68 for seniors; $38 for children ages 4-12.

Mercat a La Planxa, 638 S. Michigan Ave.

Celebrate Turkey Day with a Catalan twist. The special Thanksgiving menu will offer a choice of family-style tapas or a three-course prix-fixe dinner.

Bub City, 435 N. Clark St.

Bub City will be offering a taste of southern Thanksgiving dinner featuring smoked turkey platter with hickory-smoked turkey breast, homemade cornbread and more. Carry-out menu with 14-pound whole smoked turkey and sides for eight people will also be available.

$17 per person for dine-in. $150 for the carry-out deal.

RPM Steak, 66 W. Kinzie St.

The 4-course Thanksgiving Feast will feature Slagel Family Farm Turkey and signature dishes including Coal-Roasted King Crab and The Duke. You can also add a variety of holiday additions such as Savini white truffles shaved tableside and miso-roasted lobster.

$85 per person.

Green Zebra, 1460 W. Chicago Ave.

This West Town joint is perfect for vegetarians struggling to find a good non-turkey Thanksgiving meal. Starting Nov. 18, Green Zebra will be serving veggie-friendly versions of classic Thanksgiving side dishes, according to the Tribune.

Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, 60 E. Grand Ave.

The classic steak and seafood fare will be serving up a Turkey Day prix-fixe menu with crispy sliced turkey breast and a variety of sides including cornbread stuffing and pumpkin chiffon pie.

$49.95 per person; $24.95 for children ages 5-12.

Noon to 7 p.m.

Longman & Eagle, 2657 N. Kedzie Ave.

The Michelin-starred Logan Square fare is bringing back its "family style" Thanksgiving dinner deal with roasted heritage turkey, green bean casserole, chestnut foie-gras stuffing and more. Turkey Day bonus: the adjacent Off Site Bar will also be serving a Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich starting at 3 p.m.

Seven Lions, 130 S. Michigan Ave.

This American fare across the street from the Art Institute of Chicago will offer a 3-course meal with mouthwatering choices including traditional turkey, braised short ribs, wild mushroom pasta, pumpkin pie and more. Veggie option is also available.

$38 per person; $12 for kids under 12.

Noon to 8 p.m.
