LINCOLN PARK — Alinea continues to lead Lincoln Park and, in fact, the city as one of Chicago's most honored restaurants.
Grant Achatz's Alinea, 1723 N. Halsted St., retained its three-star rating in the 2017 edition of the Michelin Guide to Chicago, once again joining Curtis Duffy's Grace, when this year's star-honored Chicago restaurants were announced Wednesday.
Just down the street, Boka, 1729 N. Halsted, also retained its Michelin star, touting it on Twitter.
We are excited to share we have retained our Michelin star. Thank you, @MichelinGuideCH! It is an honor.

So did Lincoln Park's only other Michelin-starred restaurant, Bruce Sherman's North Pond, 2610 N. Cannon Drive.
"Thrilled (and always a touch relieved!) to have retained our Michelin rating again this year," Sherman said by email. "It’s a real testament to the great job the North Pond staff do each and every day, busting their (humps) to keep producing the high level of food we aspire to for each service."
Sherman also immediately sought to pass on his good fortune via Twitter for the seventh and final World Series game between the Cubs and the Indians in the World Series.
"Now need other true stars to perform!" Sherman tweeted. "Go Cubs!"
Got THE call. Retained our @MichelinGuideCH STAR! Thanks to the talent on NP team! Now need other true stars to perform! Go Cubs! #FlyTheW

Last week, Balena, 1633 N. Halsted, and Riccardo Trattoria, 2119 N. Clark St., received Bib Gourmand citations, Michelin's honor for budget-conscious restaurants.
