THE LOOP — With demand off the charts, "Hamilton" has decided to stick around Chicago for six more months.

Tickets for the new "Hamilton" shows from March to September 2017 will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Broadway in Chicago.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (800) 775-2000, visiting BroadwayinChicago.com, or visiting the PrivateBank Theatre's box office, 18 W. Monroe St.

Prices range from $65 to $180, with some "premium seats" available as well. Those interested are limited to six tickets per household.

The smash hit musical, which received a Pulitzer Prize and 11 Tony Awards earlier this year, will make its Chicago debut Sept. 27 at the PrivateBank Theatre. The run was set to last till March.

Tickets to the best shows quickly sold out in June, but the show recently put up for more tickets for sale and announced a lottery for $10 tickets earlier this week. Some tickets were being listed for as much as $10,000 on resale websites such as StubHub.

The show also plans to allow CPS students to attend matinee performances at steeply discounted price, thanks to a Rockefeller Foundation grant. Those details are expected to be announced in a few months.
