Daniel Delgado, 33, Shot Dead In Gage Park Home, Officials Say

CHICAGO — Daniel Delgado, 33, was man was shot to death inside a home in Gage Park Sunday afternoon, according to police.

At 4:30 p.m., Delgado was in the hallway of a home in the 5500 block of South Spaulding Avenue when someone began firing at him, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Delgado was hit in his left leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Tannehill said.

Delgado was pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound to his thigh in a homicide.

Witnesses to the shooting were being uncooperative with detectives, she said.

No arrests have been made.
