WICKER PARK — Not headed Downtown for Lollapalooza or to Uptown's Cricket Hill for the massive slip-and-slide?

Here are several fun things to do in the neighborhood, or not too far from it.

Enjoy National Chicken Wing and Lasagna Day on Friday. To celebrate, MAK's is offering a plate of wings and a beer for $7.49, according to a tweet. And all eight Rosebud restaurants across the city and suburbs are serving their family-style lasagna (normally $25) for $9.95, dine-in only on Friday. MAK's, 1924 W. Division St., Hours are 11 a.m to 10 p.m. Rosebud, 1500 W. Taylor St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Show Off Your Talent. Bring your best song or funniest joke to an all-ages Wicker Mic talent show in the neighborhood's namesake park near the softball field. Or just watch. Free. Sign-up is 5:45 p.m. Runs from 6 to 8:45 p.m. Friday, 1425 N. Damen Ave. in Wicker Park.

Hunt for New-to-You Treasures. Over 60 homes are participating in the annual West Town Neighborhood Garage Sale, in an area bordered by Division, Ashland, Grand and California. Peruse toys, books bikes, clothes, furniture, decor and dishes, artwork, appliances and more. Plus, local artisans also will be selling their works in the Columbus School parking lot at Leavitt and Augusta. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
