PARK MANOR — A 43-year-old man died and a 22-year-old woman was in critical condition after a shooting in Park Manor Monday afternoon, police said.

They were shot at 4:24 p.m. while sitting in a car in the 6600 block of South Michigan Avenue, near where the Chicago Skyway branches off from the Dan Ryan Expressway, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was pronounced dead on scene after being shot in his neck, Tannehill said.

The man was identified as Vincent Davis Sr., of the 7500 block of South Evans, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Davis was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

The woman was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound in her chest, Tannehill said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.
