EDGEWATER — The former Hollywood Precision building across the street from the Edgewater Medical Center likely is nearing its $385,000 transformation into a 10-unit apartment building, city records show.

Plans to convert the 3-story office building at 5701 N. Ashland Ave. include creating new apartments, 10 parking spaces and ground-floor retail.

The building, across from where new apartments and a green space is slated at the former medical center, was bought by developer City Pads, LLC. in August for $975,000.

On July 8, permits were issued to begin the $385,000 conversion from a parking garage and offices into condo-quality apartments.
