WRIGLEY FIELD — Perhaps the only thing more American than baseball is a baseball game on the Fourth of July.

But if you're hoping to enjoy hot dogs and home runs at Wrigley Field Monday, it's going to cost you.

The Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds game is the most expensive ticket in Major League Baseball, according to ticket reselling sites VividSeats and Stubhub. Of the 50 games from Friday to Monday, the 1:20 p.m. Monday game at Wrigley Field has the highest median price at $160 on VividSeats.

Even the cheapest "get-in price" for the game is a pricey $85. There's high demand in New York, too; Cubs games at the Mets' Citi Field on Saturday and Sunday are reselling for an average $109 and $99, respectively.

After the Cubs, the July 3 Angels vs. Red Sox game in Boston has the priciest listing, averaging $98 with a $45 get-in price.

Stubhub has similar prices, with tickets to Monday's game in Wrigley Field selling for between $53-$329 on average. The priciest ticket is a $1,000 seat in the third row of the dugout to the left of home plate. The cheapest ticket is for standing room only.

It's not too surprising to see Cubs seats topping holiday weekend prices; on VividSeats, the North Siders have the highest median price for all remaining regular season home games. Their $130 average ticket bests the Boston Red Sox ($116), the New York Mets ($76) and the St. Louis Cardinals at a paltry $44.

For those looking for a deal, the average White Sox ticket is $39 on VividSeats. If you're desperate to get into the Friendly Confines, the cheapest day for a Cubs game is a Tuesday, the resale site said.

On Monday, the New York Yankees game against the White Sox at the Cell sells for as little as $6 on Stubhub — and you get a seat, even if it is in the upper deck. VividSeats has $5 tickets and a median price of $51.

If you'd rather go straight to the source, the only tickets left on Ticketmaster for Monday's game at Wrigley Field are $240 seats in the bullpen box. The Mets games start at $37 in New York.

White Sox prices on Ticketmaster remain the ultimate bargain, starting at $7 and topping out at $113 for diamond box seats in the first 10 rows behind home plate.
