ALBANY PARK — It's been a year since Angelo's upgraded from a pizza pick-up and delivery joint to a full-service restaurant, and the wine bar is marking the milestone with a block party.
Join the celebration from 5-10 p.m. Saturday at the restaurant, 3026 W. Montrose Ave.
The family-friendly event includes live music, appetizers and wine tastings. Angelo's also plans to debut its barrel-aged vermouth, Manhattan and Negroni.
Angelo's has been a fixture along Montrose Avenue since the 1960s and underwent a complete renovation — including scooping up the neighboring storefront — in 2015.
"I told my dad, 'We've got to change with the neighborhood,'" said Ramez Fakhoury, a member of the family that's owned Angelo's since 1983.
