Old Town Shooting Wounds Man, 19, Standing Outside, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting Wednesday night in Old Town left a 19-year-old man wounded, police said.

At 7 p.m., the man was standing in the 1300 block of North Hudson Avenue when a car passed by and someone inside fired shots, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in the hip. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Pacheco said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
